Twitch affiliate is a program from Twitch where streamers can earn money streaming. Once you become a twitch affiliate you can start earning money from your channel.

It allows you to take your channel further and earn more viewers, fans and subscribers. This article explains exactly how to become a twitch affiliate and get paid for your streams.

It gives streamers the opportunity to be able to earn money which is otherwise not possible if you are not a partner.

Now that you are a Twitch Affiliate, you can begin earning income in lots of different ways!

When you enable Bits, viewers can use them to Cheer on your stream in chat. When they do this, they’re helping support your channel while also getting some fun perks and benefits as well!

You can also earn through ads. As an affiliate (and later partner), you will be able to generate ad revenue by allowing ads to appear on your streams. You’ll have the option to turn off these ads if you prefer not to monetize this way.

You can even sell merchandise! With Amazon Merch, they’ve made it easy for Twitch Affiliates and Partners to create their own custom T-shirt design through Amazon Merch – all without having any experience with graphic design or merchandising yourself!

Once you create a design, just submit it for review and once it’s approved, you’ll be able to start selling it directly from your channel page.

In addition to the above options for monetization as an affiliate, partners have access to additional features such as subscriptions and game sales.

The process of becoming a twitch affiliate is difficult but once you get there you can start earning and getting closer to being partnered.

While being a Twitch affiliate is certainly not the end of your streaming journey, it is definitely a step closer to the end goal of being a partner.

If you aren’t quite sure what that process looks like, you can take a look at our guide on how to become a Twitch partner as well. However, getting to that point is no small feat and it’s important to understand all of the requirements and steps involved.

First off, there’s one big difference between an affiliate and a partner: The ability to monetize your content!

While affiliates can’t technically make money from their streams (at least not directly) they are able to use subscriptions and bits which can lead to viewers sending some capital your way.

The process itself is fairly straightforward but there are some requirements you’ll need to meet before you get started including having at least 50 followers, 8 hours of streamed content over 7 days or three broadcasted days in 30 days with an average concurrent viewership above 3 (and does not include bots), as well as at least 300 minutes broadcasted in total with an audience more than half of these views from unique viewers (again excluding bots.)

So, if you don’t meet those requirements yet we recommend trying for them first before attempting this guide so that you don’t waste any time trying for something out of reach.

In order to qualify as a twitch affiliate you need to be able to fulfill these requirements :

  • To be considered an affiliate, you need at least 50 followers.
  • You must have streamed for a minimum of 8 hours in the past 30 days.
  • You must have streamed on at least 7 different days in the past 30 days.
  • You must have an average of 3 concurrent viewers or more over the past 30 days.
  • In order to get twitch affiliate, you first need to apply through your dashboard and then wait to hear if they approve you as a twitch affiliate (their process may take up to 2 weeks). If you don’t qualify yet, continue working on building your brand and streaming quality content for your viewers.

Stream for at least an average of 25 hours per week for 30 days and have at least an average of 3 concurrent viewers for the last 30 days.

Affiliates earn a 5% revenue share of the total gross revenue from purchases using Bits in their channel.

To become an Affiliate, you must meet these requirements:

  • Stream for at least an average of 25 hours per week for 30 days and have at least an average of 3 concurrent viewers for the last 30 days.

The key to becoming a Twitch affiliate is consistency. You can’t just stream once or twice and expect to get anywhere – you need to be able to stream for an average of at least 25 hours a week for 30 days straight.

While that may seem daunting, it’s important to keep in mind that this is your job now! If you’re serious about making money on Twitch, you should treat your streaming like a real job, which means putting in actual work hours.

Stream 12 unique days in the last month.

Streaming 12 unique days in the last month means that you need to stream 12 different days in the last month.

It does not matter how many hours you stream on each day, as long as it’s for at least one hour. If you stream for a single hour on one day and then nine hours on another day, that still counts as two different days.

If you’re a new streamer, this is usually the first goal to achieve because it’ll be pretty easy if you’re streaming consistently.

Be 18 years old or older. (13 years old with parental consent).

You can become an Affiliate if you meet the following requirements:
